This building has been used for many things in the 100+ years it has been around, and it has been through quite a lot. For it's new chapter; the building was slated to be student housing so the concrete floors needed to be soundproofed. A rubber soundproofing material had been laid down and then 2 to 3 inch concrete topping was poured over it. This was done to all 4 floors of this building totalling 120,000 square feet in all. For our part of their project we had the privilege to grind it and polish the concrete up to a 400 grit finish. The concrete was then sealed with an acrylic concrete sealer. After we completed each floor the framers came in and the new apartments started to take shape.
